ATLANTA | Atlanta beat the Padres 5-3 in a game that featured two bench-clearing brawls and 19 ejections — including both managers and two replacement managers.

Atlanta starter Pascual Perez hit Alan Wiggins in the back with the first pitch of the game, and Padres pitchers retaliated by throwing at Perez in all four of his at-bats.

Padres manager Dick Williams was suspended 10 days and fined $10,000, while Atlanta manager Joe Torre and five players received three-game suspensions.
